Edie Fogel is a fine art photographer and educator. Her work is centered on photography’s historical conversation of whether a photograph can capture something more than what is present in front of the camera. Edie is the creator of the "Fogeltype" photographic process which combines antique with contemporary photographic elements.
She has a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University and studied art in Italy and France. Edie comes from the San Francisco Bay Area and currently teaches in Gainesville, Florida.
